Dr. Clay Waters, Senior Pastor

Clay was born in Morganton, North Carolina. Though he lived for short periods of time in Tennessee and South Carolina, he grew up in Forest City, North Carolina. Clay became a Christian after his first year in college. Shortly after receiving Christ, he answered God’s call to the ministry. Clay has a B.A. from Gardner-Webb University, a Master’s of Divinity with Biblical Languages, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Clay is married to Caryn, and they have two sons, Graham and Lawson. He enjoys playing with his boys, baseball, reading, hunting and fishing.

Rev. Robert Bresch, Associate Pastor for Music & Worship

Robert was born in Covington Kentucky a long time ago. He graduated from Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Seminary with a MDiv in Church Music and Education. Robert has served at churches in Georgia and South Carolina. He came to Grey Stone in 1995 and things have never been the same! He has a love for golf that is rivaled only by his love for his family and Chinese food. Robert also loves to play music in his office loud enough for the pictures to rattle on the walls throughout the church. Robert watches ESPN constantly and is referred to as, "Bobby Knight Bresch" by his son. He is a champion powerlifter and participated in the 1976 Iron Man games.

Rev. Randall Floyd, Associate Pastor for Education & Evangelism

Randall Floyd has served as our Associate Pastor for Education & Evangelism at Grey Stone since 2005. His focus is in equipping Sunday School, Connecting People, and Spiritual Growth/Discipleship. He received training at Florida State University; Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and is completing a Doctoral Dissertation at Trinity Theological Seminary. Randall is married to Shannon, a National Board Certified School Teacher. They have two sons, Nick & Connor. Randall volunteers as a Christian Educational Consultant & Trainer and is the founder of Educational Evangelism Ministries. He has authored and published several curriculum materials including Vital Truth- Scripture; TM412; In Him- A Nation Under God? ; Seven Steps to an Effective Revival; and Are You God’s Type? He enjoys history, movies, coaching soccer, travel, and spending time with his family. Prior to his ministry in NC, Randall served on staff with churches in VA, KY, IN, & GA; and was a Contracted-Corporate Trainer for Ericsson & ExecuTrain. His favorite verse is Luke 10:27.

Rev. Kelly Bullard, Minister of Pastoral Care and Family Life

Kelly was born in Lumberton, North Carolina. He came to Grey Stone in March of 2005 as part-time Minister to Senior Adults. Prior to that, Kelly worked as a bank teller in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and History with a minor in History of Ideas from SoutheasternCollege at Wake Forest. He currently resides in Durham, North Carolina, and is pursuing a Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. At this rate, he’s not sure when he’ll graduate! In June of 2007, Kelly changed roles to full-time Minister of Pastoral Care and Family Life. His passion is preaching and teaching God’s Word and seeing lives completely changed by its power. Kelly recently married the love of his life, Lindsey. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Rev. Andy Johnson, Children's Minister

Andy was born in Greensboro, NC. After graduating from NC State with a Parks and Recreation degree, he struggled for several years with his ministry call while working in a career at the YMCA. God finally got a hold of him and led him to Southeastern Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education at Southeastern and sees himself using that degree to spur on innovative changes in education within the church and children’s ministry. Andy has been ministering to youth and children through various arenas since 1996. His experiences include teaching, preaching, volunteer leadership and development, and conference and retreat leadership. He is currently the Children’s Pastor at Grey Stone in charge of birth-5th grade. His favorite activity is spending time with his wife Michaella and his two girls, Emma Lee and Kerri. Running is a distant second!

Rev. Jeremiah Hambrick, Student Minister

Jeremiah has worked at Grey Stone since 2006. Jeremiah grew up just outside of Roanoke, VA and is the son of Jim and Debbie Hambrick who are full time missionaries. He graduated from North Greenville College in 2002 with a BA in Christian Studies and Southeastern Theological Seminary in 2006 with a Masters in Apologetics with Biblical Languages. Jeremiah married his beautiful wife in May of 2003 and they have two children, Ella and Ezra. Jeremiah enjoys being with his family and friends, football, reading and studying the eating habits of the White Pine Weevil.

Mr. Jerry Fowler

Jerry was born with a mustache in Mullens, West Virginia. He graduated from West Virginia University and attended the Duke-Fuqua School of Business. He has served at Grey Stone for 14 years. Before coming to Grey Stone, Jerry worked in the business sector for 15 years and taught at a private business college. Jerry and his wife Frances have two children, Neil and Christa.

Beverly has been working at Grey Stone since 2002. She has two children and three grandchildren. Beverly was born and raised in Durham and worked in the buisness sector for 26 years. She is a blessing to have at Grey Stone and keeps all of our Pastors on task and under control. Beverly likes to ride motorcycles and is an avid sky diver.
